Hey guys,
There's heaps of good info on how to create and edit email footers and headers on Topliners but I want to ask the community, do you use them? We used them in our 2012 email templates but for this year we had several power users ask for templates with the header/footer content built right into the email rather than separate components. Their reasoning was that they can just make a new template for every different type of footer/header they wanted and then just use those templates for their emails.
I can totally see their point so we made some new email templates this year with no separate footers/headers and they've been a good success.
Now with our impending transition to E10, we could either use the headers & footers, or shared content, or we could just do as we've done recently and just make several templates with the headers & footers built into the body and not use separate components at all.
My question to you all is this: what are you using? Is there a best practice and if so, what is it?
