Adobe Connect Registration flow for Gated meetings

$

All,

We are having tons of trouble getting Adobe Connect to speak to Eloqua.  The Cloud Connector is working properly.  THe challenge seems to be on the Adobe side.

Situation

We run gated webinars.  We currently send out an Eloqua invite to our leads, but with a registration link leads you to an Adobe form.  Leads and registration are captured on the Adobe side.  For follow up emails, reminders, etc, we have to pull the list from Adobe and upload that new list to Eloqua.  This is proving to be inefficient.  We would like to keep all registrations in Eloqua, then once registered, registrants will receive their webinar credentials.  THis would allow us to better track registrations and keep the leads in one system.

The challenge is that there are two types of Adobe webinars, seminars and meetings.  The meetings aren't gated, and these are picked up by Eloqua. But its the seminars we want, because these are gated, however, these meetings aren't appearing in the API.

SO the question I have is, how can we host gated webinars in Adobe, while keeping all leads and landing pages in Eloqua?  Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Form Error - Please select the contact field that maps to the form field

I have a form that was previously working fine that I am trying to re-use by saving to a new name.  The form has 4 contact fields - First Name, Last Name, Email and Mobile Phone - and some custom fields.  When I try to Save As I get this error - "Please select the contact field that maps to the form field".  I also get the error if I try to save the current form, which was working fine... any suggestions on what I can try to fix?  Thanks!

Basic form HTML

Is there any way to export or view just the basic HTML elements of a form. When I go to the gear menu and select "View Form HTML" I get a sample of code where many of the inputs are nested deeply within spans, paragraphs and divs, each containing it's own mess of external and in-lined styles. Does anyone know of a way to acquire just the core, functional parts of the HTML w/o all the fluff?

Best way to learn Eloqua10?

I am not new to marketing automation. I have used comparable tools. I understand the mechanics and capabilities, however I am new to my company and therefore new to Eloqua since I have not used this system before. I just need to understand how and where to find things in Eloqua. I am not exactly inspired to read hundreds of pages of documentation. What is the best way to learn the system? I don't have the budget to get an all access pass to the university. I'm usually a fan of recorded webinars so I can review and watch as needed. Do these exist at no cost for Eloqua training?

So to answer the question, which is your favorite?

I'm looking to set up closed loop reporting with Salesforce integration. My question is, how do I assign a contact in Salesforce? Do I need to assign a "Primary Contact to each opportunity for the reporting to work and/or assign a "Contact Role" in SFDC?

I'm new with Eloqua so any help is appreciated. Thanks!

E10 adding white space on top of footer image

I've been trying to create an email that has a white textbox in the middle, surrounded by images on 4 sides (which was one image, sliced out). I've included the email below

http://app.na.agcocorp.com/e/es.aspx?s=1524474208&e=697&elq=6d4fc785f9a74a2ab3c46566bfbb0908

Anyways, no matter what I do, the email seems to add a 30?px whitespace between the two side images and the bottom image. Everything was aligned within Eloqua. I even tried to create a text-box and use the following code for the bottom image:

<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">

<tbody><tr>

   <td> <img elqtitle="" src="http://images.na.agcocorp.com/EloquaImages/clients/AGCOCorporation/{1ca5dc18-f6cd-4abe-a72d-23d0065e74c0}_PTS_FieldCheck_Footer.jpg" style="display:block;">

</td></tr>

   </tbody></table>

Still have the same problem. It shows up fine in Firefox/Chrome, but when actually sent via Outlook or Gmail, the whitespace shows up

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Eloqua to SFDC Campaign Status - can I create a dynamic status?

$

Hi,

I'm just getting into setting up my forms to post to SFDC campaigns and have run into a little hurdle. I am using the campaigns to track event registrations & actions and am starting to find the campaign status very limiting.

For instance, previously we've just had something like: Invited, Registered, Attended.

Now I want to add more information, such as Did they complete the feedback form? Did they request to download the presentation PDFs after the event?

I initially thought I could just update the campaign status to 'completed form' 'requested presentations' etc, but this means I lose information like Attended, Registered, Invited, etc.

So what I would like to do, ideally, is have the campaign status be something like: 'Registered - Requested Presentations' etc, which would involve creating a hidden field that takes their current member status and appends a secondary status to it, then submits that to Eloqua and on to SFDC. So is this possible? Does 'member_status' exist as a variable that I could do something like <field value="$member_status + '- Requested Presentations' ">

Otherwise I guess my only other option is to have multiple campaigns inside a parent campaign...?

Thanks,

Pauline.
