Hi all,
I have hit a fairly major issue in our Roll out of Eloqua.
Being a B2B company we want to target contacts based on an accounts previous quote and invoice history.
Eloqua is all based around the contact, which is fine.
You can link accounts and contacts, which we have done.
However you cannot set up a data model where account custom data objects can be queried for segmentation.
We have tried linking the custom object directly to the contact using the account id (the account ID is stored on both entities). Whilst this map to the first contact it finds it does not map to all.
This seems like a fairly fundamental requirement for B2B so have any of you eloqua boffins found a way to work around this ?
ps I believe this may be subject of a future release, my workaround of creating a product record for each contact may take me over the 25 million record "best practice" custom data threshold.
