The Marketing Automation Manager is responsible for leading the strategy and execution for major projects that support lead warming, lead scoring, database integrity and targeted marketing campaigns, reporting on campaign ROI, and defining repeatable and actionable processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Evangelize the use of Eloqua across the marketing team including training and best practices
- Collaborate in the development of strong best practices of lead generation
- Lead data hygiene including validation, cleansing and augmentation/appending
- Measure the impact and ROI of marketing on pipeline and revenue
- Provide recommendations to marketing team members based on data analysis as a key input into ongoing marketing plans and campaigns
- Develop, maintain and distribute automated marketing reporting dashboards and campaign reports as well as general marketing intelligence and ad-hoc queries and reports through Eloqua, Salesforce and reporting tools to ensure that leadership at is up to date on channel and campaign performance
- Optimize the design, content, targeting & messaging of email communications
- Keep up-to-date on trends in lead generation and software solutions market
- Build and document processes to support metrics, lead flow, compliance to standards and continuous improvement
- Help Marketing Segment Managers segment, target and leverage the marketing database for greater campaign efficiency and effectiveness
- Analyze and report on core email metrics, including: list size, delivery, click-through rates, open rates, etc.
- Produce and execute email marketing campaigns, surveys and newsletters as needed
Professional and Technical Competencies
- Proficiency with email automation software, preferably Eloqua
- Proficiency with Salesforce.com, Microsoft (Word, Excel, PPT, Sharepoint, etc.) products including Visio, Excel Pivot Tables, Access
- Strong strategic, analytical, creative problem solving, project management and communication (oral and written) skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- Able to handle a variety of tasks quickly, efficiently and with minimal rework
- Excellent interpersonal skills, high energy and enthusiasm for a fast-paced environment
- Team oriented, strong cross group collaborator
- Structured, logical thinker even when working in a fast-paced environment under tight timeframes
- Self-starter with the ability to drive projects from inception to completion
- Quick-thinker with a strong grasp of numbers—ability to develop closed-loop campaign reporting and analysis including ROI calculations
Education Requirements
Bachelors degree in marketing, business or related field or equivalent work experience
Experience
5 + years marketing experience with at least 3 years of marketing automation, email production and analysis using best in breed systems like Eloqua, Marketo or Aprimo required (candidates with Eloqua expertise will receive favorable consideration).
