We are in the midst of redesigning our confirmation page when someone registers for a webinar and would like to include a button/text for "Add to Calendar". I think the most common is to create an .ics file and leave it at that, just one link. However, even though Google can import an .ics file (you have to actively import it into your calendar, double-clicking doesn't do it), if a user doesn't know that then you've lost them. You can create your own Google Add to Calendar button but it's more steps and if you have a few webinars to do it can get cumbersome. Is the extra work worth the better user experience?
