has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Online Marketing Manager to help
build Atmel’s online engagement, nurturing programs, and database strategies to
drive results. This individual will manage the marketing database and online
programs working closely with the Corporate Marketing, regional marketing and
sales teams. They will define and implement acquisition, nurturing and loyalty
programs utilizing our marketing platform. They will provide guidance on best
practices for online marketing strategies and programs as well as managing the
execution of the programs and reporting of results.
Responsibilities
- Manage marketing database including database health (completeness,
accuracy and completeness), segmentation, TAM coverage and acquisition
strategies, and retention strategies. - Develop nurture programs that engage the prospect/customer and
supports their decision process for a positive outcome. - Define and manage segmentation strategies for effective marketing
results working closely with Corporate Marketing and Sales teams. - Drive and execute email marketing communications for acquisition,
consideration and retention efforts, working closely with the Marketing
Managers, creative and web teams, and integrating with other digital marketing
efforts. - Define and execute online newsletter strategies and programs.
- Manage compliance with global privacy and anti-spam laws and
regulations, and provide permission marketing strategies and oversight. - Co-manage the lead management program working closely with Sales,
managing the lead capture, lead scoring and marketing qualification programs
and providing closed loop reporting on marketing ROI. - Define and execute integration strategies between marketing
platform and CRM working closely with the technical development team, Sales and
Customer Support.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize work in
a changing business environment are essential. - Ability to develop creative solutions, make recommendations and
build consensus among stakeholders will be required. - Broad technical knowledge of associated platforms and trends is
desired. - Must be a self-starter and have a passion for building brand
awareness and advocates online and driving results. - Manage internal and external resources in order to accomplish
their goals. - Need to be a team player and rely on experience and judgment to
plan, prioritize and accomplish goals. - Very strong qualitative and quantitative skills coupled with
experience in various online marketing disciplines. - Demonstrated experience in online marketing and web communications
is required, along with leadership and the ability to persuade/influence others,
sell ideas effectively and get results.
Preferred Skills
- Demonstrated experience in successfully developing engaging
communication and engagement programs resulting in proven results. - Extensive experience leveraging marketing platforms and capabilities,
as well as working with integrated marketing agencies. - Must have the ability to move from strategy and planning to
tactical execution as the need dictates. - The ability to collaborate well with a cross-functional tem and
have the communication skills to influence program parameters based on best
practices, experience and results. - The ability to identify customer and prospect insights based on
engagement behavior.
Education Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree
Experience
- 5-8 years online marketing / marketing database management
experience with proven results, preferably in a high tech industry - 3-5 years experience using marketing automation platforms,
preferably Eloqua experience - Eloqua master certification desired
- 3 years experience with CRM, preferably Salesforce.com experience
- Experience managing outside vendors and agencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills a must
- Strong analytical skills to understand what drives results and
ability to report to all levels of management - Strong knowledge of global privacy and anti-spam laws and
regulations, and permission marketing strategies
