We have been doing Lead Scoring for a while now using program builder and are going to switch over to the new E10 model to make our lives infinitely easier. I've played with it for a while and have a very good grasp of how it works. We are just working on refining our scoring model to fit the E10 functionality.
Which brings me to the following question. First, I'm excited that we now have the ability to upload a list and add those contacts to a campaign as a campaign response. However, I'm struggling as to how to score them. For example, we score booth attendees at tradeshows as a significant response based on feedback from our sales team. The only way I can see in Lead Scoring to do this is via the Campaign Response in the Engagement portion of the scoring. The problem comes when we also call email opens and clicks in relation to the tradeshow as a response as well, but obviously it can't be scored the same as a booth visit.
Is there anyone else scoring leads like this and if so how do you overcome this challenge?
As a side note, how do you handle scoring where both say a booth visit and a demo request or more info request is a high valued activity, but in a way can act as an either/or score. IE: Lead submits req. a demo form OR visits booth is 40% of total engagement score.
Thoughts?
