Has anyone else been experience outages with insights over the last month or is it just me?

Our Development and  Cloud Operations Teams are currently working to resolve an incident that is impacting Bulk Imports and Exports, Lead Scoring and Firehose. We do not currentlty have an ETA for resolution. The next update is scheduled for 10:45 pm EDT ( UTC -4).

Does anyone know how to move softbounces to hard bounces after several attempts?

Looking for some assistance here on this object as well. I am relatively new to Eloqua (lots of experience with other ESP's such as Silverpop, Realmagnet etc). In these systems we would have the ESP configured to essentially auto scrub soft bounces after x amount of failed delivery (based on SMTP status) in x amount of time. From my understanding, Eloqua does nothing with the soft bounces.

 

Could someone with far more experience provide me with some insight or maybe a "how to" on how I could go about transitioning softbounces to a hardbounce or add them to a master suppression file. Ideally I would like it to phase them out around the 4th or 5th failed delivery attempt. Currently if I use a filter, I can only filter by date, which isn't of much use since it will suppress out all types of soft bounces including the legitimate out of office/vacation responses. Can anyone help?

Would like to understand how many of you use pre header text on your emails. I will definitely come back with how to guide but wanted to know who is using it and how is it working for you. Pre-header is seperate from standard header text that's in the Eloqua and not "To view this as a web page, click here".

Looking for insights on lead scoring, how often are others updating and or auditing their models, how effective is having multiple models, do simple scoring models outperform more complex ones?

Luminary Bingo - Not All Courses in Eloqua Course Library

Hi,

 

Just wondering if someone can help me. I just completed my Masters & am eager to start on my Luminary. I noticed when I looked at the Luminary Bingo, not all courses were available in the Course Library. For example, Eloqua 10: Program Builder Overview is not available.

 

Also, when I look at Luminary Tenet Progress - Enrollment Status/Learning Plan, not all of the Courses are listed under the tenets.


Is all of this because prerequisites are required & therefore the course won't show up until those are completed? Or is it because the course is not being offered in the next few months?

I am logging into Eloqua with no issues, both are -of course -API users.

I want to remove all the contacts from a sharedlist using api. One of the method i found out is with rest api is to send ids of all the contacts in the list.When there are more contacts in list it takes lot of time as i have to query the list to get the contact ids first, then send PUT request with the ids to remove the contacts. Is there any alternative way to do it. If not then what is the max number of ids i can send with membership deletions options.

Description 

The Solutions Architect is a hands-on Eloqua user, with deep knowledge of the product. In this role, you will lead the technical portion of Eloqua projects and provide best practices to the client. The role requires the ability to listen to and gather customer requirements, work with a team to determine the best solution, and build that solution in Eloqua and other systems (CRM, 3rd party, etc), in collaboration with teammates and clients. Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Three (3) or more years ‘best practices’ experience in a consulting or marketing/sales operations capacity, preferably in a B-to-B environment
  • Three (3) or more years using Eloqua in an advanced/admin capacity (Lead Scoring, Customer Lifecycle, CRM Integration, Lead Nurturing, Data Normalization, 3rd Party Integrations)
  • Intermediate or Advanced knowledge and use of Salesforce.com. Knowledge of MS Dynamics, Siebel On-Demand, NetSuite or other CRM systems a plus
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to inspire confidence and trust by explaining complex subjects to many different audiences, in many different ways: Marketing, Sales, IT, Executives
  • Knowledge of lead nurturing, lead scoring and sales/marketing organization alignment principles.  We want you to have lived it
  • An ability to conduct detailed training sessions in Eloqua
  • Ability to manage and drive multiple projects simultaneously in a remote capacity
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly shifting priorities and scenarios on a daily basis

  Bonus Skills: 

  • Working knowledge of  HTML, JavaScript, SQL
  • Visio, Access, Excel, Power Point
  • Firm understanding of relational databases
  • CRM Administrator Certification
  • Eloqua Certified Expert
  • Teaching and/or training experience (Education)

  Cultural Fit:

Physical Requirements

Anyone else having issues with batch email process?

I haven't been able to send out any of our campaigns this week. I was told by Oracle Support there's a bug with POD3 with batch email process yesterday. However, the solution provided was to send out email individually without the ability to use Signature Rule. There's no ETA as to when this will be fixed and no alternative to send out batch was provided or even escalated.

 

Is this happening to anyone on the forum? I'm not talking about lag time, which I know plenty of folks are dealing with, but inability to send out batch emails due to batch errors.

 

As a 9 year Eloqua veteran and an advocate of the product, this experience has really made me consider alternatives. I have very little confident that Eloqua is going to meet my overall strategic operation goals for the future, and I'm not sure I can recommend the product to other companies... I can see why most of their partners are moving to support the competition.

How do i update the "from field" in emails?  I tried looking in the Email Groups in settings to find this (since that is how it changes) but no luck.  Please help!
